Our methodology
How we select, analyze and compare products to give you the best recommendations.
Every guide published on DealMaxa follows the same rigorous methodology. We do not improvise, we do not favor any brand, and we do not publish without verification. Here is precisely how we work.
Our selection process — in detail
Product identification
We select the most relevant models on the market for each category. We analyze their technical specifications, pricing, and availability to build a representative comparison.
Research and configuration
We analyze the technical specifications of each product: features, compatibility, available options. We verify the quality of the provided documentation and note the strengths and weaknesses of each model.
User review analysis
We look at the buyer ratings and reviews published on the product pages of the platforms we track (Amazon, AliExpress), as imported into our catalog. We weigh recurring praise and complaints rather than individual reviews; we do not verify the authenticity of each review ourselves.
Specifications analysis
We compare objective specifications: announced battery life, charging time, screen resolution, weight, dimensions. Each technical data point comes from the product listing and, when available, is checked against manufacturer documentation.
Ranking and writing
The results are compiled into a comparison table. Rankings reflect the editorial scores described above: the author orders the picks by how well they balance the six criteria for the intended use. Each article shows the specifications and platform reviews behind its verdicts.
Update
Each guide is updated regularly: prices are refreshed whenever a guide is updated, new models are added when they are game-changers, older ones are removed when no longer available. The last update date is always displayed at the top of each page.
Badges used on product pages
- •"Deal": the listing displays a crossed-out higher price for this product.
- •"Well rated": platform buyer average of 4.5/5 or higher.
- •"Popular": platform buyer average of 4.0/5 or higher.
- •"Best Seller" or similar: flag displayed by the marketplace itself on its listing.
- •No badge means we make no additional claim about the product.
Our scoring system
Scores out of 10 are editorial judgements by the article's author, not algorithm outputs. They weigh our six criteria — build quality, value for money, features, design, user reviews and durability — according to what matters most in each category (battery life for power banks, screen quality for monitors). They rest on documented specifications and aggregated buyer reviews, never on lab measurements; comparisons also show how many criteria each product wins.
Editorial independence
No brand can buy our recommendation. We accept no free products, no paid partnerships, no display advertising. Our income comes exclusively from affiliate links — you pay nothing extra. If a product is bad, we will say so, regardless of the brand.
Our goal is not to sell. It's to save you time and money by preventing bad purchases. We are not tied to any brand. We do not accept any free products. Our revenue comes exclusively from affiliate commissions — which means we only earn money if you truly find the right product.
